03.07 Maintenance (MA)

Phase 1 - A suggested method would be to include in your policy, a statement that outlines specific procedures for maintaining systems processing CUI. This should detail how we securely perform maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and repairs. We need to establish strict controls over who can access and use maintenance tools, perhaps through a multi-factor authentication system and regular audits. Crucially, the policy should emphasize adherence to our existing configuration management plan, ensuring that any changes made during maintenance are documented, reviewed, and approved. This will help us prevent unauthorized modifications and maintain the confidentiality and integrity of CUI during all maintenance activities.
